Host a party at our stables, in West Sussex.

Guests spend time meeting, grooming and pampering our friendly ponies, have rides in one of our pony paddocks or the all weather arena. Use of the undercover haybarn for eating and have fun playing pony themed games/hobbyhorse play or learning about stable life for older children.

Pony rides, pony pampering and pony themed party games.

Whats included:

Your choice of one of our themes; Fairy Unicorn, Western or Traditional 'Pony Club" Showjumping and Gymkhana.

Introduction to the ponies (or unicorns) and grooming.
A ride for each child in the all weather arena or one of our pony paddocks
Experienced Stable Manager to oversee the party as well as a groom (helper) for each pony.

A special Happy Birthday Rosette
A rosette for each guest
Use of the undercover hay barn for eating (bring your own food)
We offer tea and coffee for parents and squashes for the children.

How it works:

The children arrive and are welcomed by the Stable Manager, they are given a brief safety talk about how to stay safe, and are then introduced to the ponies (We ask that Children 4yrs and under keep an adult with them).

The children then spend time being taught how to groom and pamper the shetland ponies (x2). There are lots of fun bows and clips to be added to manes and tails. Our ponies love the attention and fuss!

We host a fun game of Hobby Horse Showjumping for 5yrs and under. For the older children they learn about stable management and pony life.

We also use one of our secure pony paddocks or the all weather arena where the children take turns having pony rides (x1 pony/unicorn). There is an experienced helper per pony to assist. Mums and Dads are more than welcome to walk alongside for photos or to support smaller children.

After the rides are finished the children get to let off steam in the arena, playing our ever popular pony themed gymkhana games (unmounted), with sweets and/or stickers for prizes.

To finish you then have use of the undercover barn next door to the shetland ponies for eating (bring your own food)

All children receive one of our rosettes and get to help feed and say goodbye to the ponies.

You can book online and pay in full or contact us and we can book you in. We require a £75 deposit to secure your date and time, then full payment must be made 7 days before your party. Dates can be changed if available. To change dates and not lose your deposit we require 7days notice.

important information...

Children remain the responsibility of the parent/supervising adult Event Host at all times.
Children need to dress appropriately and wear an enclosed shoe
Children should be made aware that handling a horse is a risk, ponies can be unpredictable so we would ask that children co-operate with our instructions when handling and riding.
Children will be led at all times. Parents / carers can walk alongside if the child is under 4yrs or if the child needs support.
After touching our animals please wash hands or use hand sanitisers provided.
Safety hats are provided.
Although we do have an all weather arena, to avoid risk to child or pony we reserve the right to reschedule parties due to extreme weather conditions.
Sussex Pony Parties does not supply the food, please bring your own party food.
